It goes without saying how important an Aadhaar card is. It is mandatory not only for government services but also for private services. No work can be done without this card. From getting a SIM card to hotel check-in, Aadhaar is useful for every task. That is why we always have to keep Aadhaar with us. But many frauds are also being committed using Aadhaar. UIDAI is taking steps to prevent these and provide security to Aadhaar. As part of that, it has introduced many security features. Through these features, you can immediately know if someone has used your Aadhaar without your knowledge. Let’s see how it works.
Aadhaar Authentication History
UIDAI has already brought a feature called ‘Aadhaar Authentication History’ on its website and app. Through this, you can know the details online like where you have used Aadhaar..? What did you use it for..? When did you use it? You can immediately take action to prevent others from using your Aadhaar by locking your Aadhaar biometric details. You can track documents like iris, fingerprint, and OTP verification.
How to know the history..?
Download the ‘m-aadhaar’ app from the Google Play Store.
Enter your Aadhaar number and log in with OTP.
Select the ‘my aadhaar’ option on the home page.
Enter your pin number.
Click on the ‘aadhaar authentication history’ tab.
Select the dates for which you want to know the history.
You will get complete details of where your Aadhaar has been used.
File a complaint
If you find that your Aadhaar has been used anywhere without your knowledge, immediately file a complaint with the UIDAI helpline number. Call 1947 and file a complaint. Also, immediately lock your Aadhaar biometrics. This can prevent others from using your Aadhaar. You should check your history from time to time. This will keep your Aadhaar safe.
