The admission process for the 2026-27 academic year in Kendriya Vidyalayas has officially begun from March 20. Like every year, this time too, there is great enthusiasm among parents to secure seats in KV schools for quality education.
Admission Schedule:
- Balavatika (Nursery, UKG) and Class 1: Online application submission will be from March 20 to April 2.
- Balavatika-2 and classes above Class 2: Offline application has been allowed from April 2 to April 8. Parents should visit the concerned schools directly and get information.
- Intermediate (PUC): This process will start 10 days after the declaration of CBSE Class 10 results.
Age Limit and Eligibility:
Class 1: To be eligible for admission, the child must have completed at least 6 years of age as on 31st March 2026. This age limit rule will be strictly followed.
Required Documents:
Parents should prepare the following documents before applying:
- Child’s birth certificate.
- Aadhar card.
- Recent passport size photograph.
- Valid email ID and mobile number.
Admission Features:
Children of central government employees are given priority in admission.
Central curriculum (CBSE), experienced teachers and equal opportunities are the features here.
Once a seat is available, there is a chance of good education up to intermediate.
Note: Parents can register online through the official website of Kendriya Vidyalaya. Applications will not be accepted after the deadline.
