The High Court has released the official notification for Junior Judicial Assistant/Restorer (JJA) Recruitment Exam 2026. A total of 152 posts will be filled through this recruitment process. This is a great opportunity for candidates who are dreaming of a government job in the legal field.
The online registration process will start from February 4 and applications can be submitted till 11 pm on February 23. This recruitment will be held under Group-B category and the selected candidates will be given Level-6 salary as per the 7th Pay Commission.
As per the notification, the candidates should have graduated from a recognized university. In addition, it is mandatory to have a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute in English on a computer. The age of the candidates should be between 18 and 32 years as on January 1, 2026. Age relaxation is given to SC, ST, OBC, PWBD and other reserved categories as per the rules. Only candidates who have completed all the required educational qualifications by the last date should apply.
The selection process will be held in four stages. In the first stage, a preliminary test will be conducted in the CBT method, which will include questions related to English, General Awareness and General Intelligence. Then there will be a descriptive main test, which will include essay writing and grammar questions. The third stage will be the English typing test. The final selection will be made through an interview in the last stage. There will also be a system of negative marks in the preliminary examination. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks in the main examination and interview.
Talking about the application fee, candidates belonging to the general, OBC and EWS categories will have to pay Rs 1,500. Candidates belonging to the SC, ST and PwB categories will have to pay Rs 1,300. The fee can be paid online through UPI, net banking, credit or debit card. A correction window will be available till February 27 to correct errors in the application, for which a separate fee will be charged.
