The state government has decided to distribute 5 kg of rice instead of 10 kg of rice, and Indira Food Kits instead of the remaining five kg of rice. Read on to know what will be in that food kit.
It has been decided in today’s state cabinet meeting to provide an Indira Food Kit, i.e. a nutritious food kit, for each ration card in lieu of an additional five kg of rice under the Anna Bhagya Yojana.
INDIRA stands for Integrated Nutrition and Dietary Initiative For Realizing Annabhagya Beneficiaries. That is, it has been decided to name and implement it as an integrated nutrition and dietary initiative kit to revive Annabhagya beneficiaries.
What will be in the Indira food kit?
Togari dal – 1 kg
Nasarukalu- 1 kg
Cooking oil – 1 liter
Sugar – 1 kg
Salt- 1 kg
The budget has approved the reallocation of Rs. 6,119.52 crore out of the Rs. 6,426 crore allocated in the budget to provide 5 kg of additional rice under the Annabhagya scheme.
