More than 12,000 teacher posts are lying vacant in Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas across the country and they will be filled soon, Minister of State for Education Jayant Chaudhary said in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha.
He informed that there are 7,765 vacancies of teachers in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and a total of 4,323 vacancies in Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.
However, vacancies of teachers in Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas arise due to various reasons, the most important of which are establishment of new schools, retirement, resignation, promotion, transfer etc. Minister of State for Education Jayant Chaudhary said that necessary steps are being taken for recruitment to these vacancies.
A total of 143 vacancies are vacant for Group-A posts in National Council of Educational Research and Training, which will be filled soon, Minister of State for Education Jayant Chaudhary said. Besides, there are currently 60 vacancies in National Council of Teacher Education.
Releasing information about vacancies of teachers in Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas across the country, Minister of State for Education Jayant Chaudhary said that the recruitment process for these posts is an ongoing process and will be filled soon.
