Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has issued a recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Divisional Officer (ASO) and applications are invited. Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have completed graduation from a recognized university. There is no restriction on any subject for these posts, i.e. candidates with a degree in any subject can apply.
Age Limit: Candidates applying for these posts should be at least 21 years of age as on August 1, 2025 and the maximum age limit is 37 years. However, the maximum age limit will be relaxed for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.
How is the selection process?
The selection process for these posts consists of four stages namely preliminary examination, main examination, interview and document verification. Candidates first have to appear for the preliminary examination and after passing it, they will have to appear for the main examination. After that, the candidates who have succeeded in the main examination are interviewed and if they are successful in it, the document verification of the candidates is done and then they are finally declared selected.
What is the salary for the BPSC ASO post?
Candidates selected for the post of Assistant Divisional Officer will get a monthly salary ranging from Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400 under the Level-7 pay scale. The salary will also include additional allowances as per the state government rules.
