There is good news from the state government regarding the rice money given to the beneficiaries under the state’s Annabhagya Yojana. Rice money for the month of March has been credited to the beneficiary’s bank account. Official information about this has been given by the government.
The Karnataka state government has decided to provide 10 kg of rice every month to the beneficiaries with 266 (Below Poverty Line) cards under Annabhagya Yojana. However, due to shortage of rice, this plan was slightly modified. At present, beneficiaries are being given 5 kg of rice and the remaining 5 kg of rice is being replaced by cash at the rate of Rs 34 per kg, which is directly deposited into the beneficiary’s bank account.
Deposit for the month of March:
170 rupees (5 kg x 34 rupees) instead of 5 kg rice to be given to the beneficiaries under the Annabhagya Yojana for the month of February has been directly deposited into the bank account of the beneficiaries. This money is transferred through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). Beneficiaries with BPL and Anthodaya card can check this amount in their bank account.

Method to check whether money has been deposited:
Step 1: First of all click here to go to the website of Food and Civil Supplies Department
Step 2: Then click on the link above your district.

Step 3: Then click on DBT Status at the bottom.

Step 4: Go ahead and enter your ration card number. Then if you click on the Go option, you can see the information about the number of members, name of the head, UID of the member, how much money is deposited or has been deposited in your ration card.
