Labor Department published additional list for Labor Inspector Posts

Karnataka Public Service Commission has released an additional list for the recruitment of remaining basic cadre Labor Inspector posts in the Labor Department. Those who have applied for these posts and participated in the recruitment process should now check that their name is in the additional list.

Those who have applied for these posts and participated in the recruitment process and got their name in the provisional list, now check that their name is in this additional list.

KPSC has published the final selection list on date: 16-04-2024 in application of Karnataka Civil Services (Direct Recruitment) (General) Rules 2021 and Amended Rules 2022 as amended from time to time. As per current rules, additional list of said posts is published for information of candidates. This list is an additional list and not a select list. KPSC will give the names of these candidates when the labor department asks for some more candidates for the service in the coming days. Then the post will be available.

  • Appointing Authority : Karnataka Public Service Commission
  • Department of Employment : Department of Labour
  • Post Name : Labor Inspector (Group C) (Residual Basic Group)
  • Number of Posts: 20
  • Qualification : Should have obtained any degree qualification from a university established under law.
  • Pay Scale: Rs.33,450- Rs.62,600.

A list of total 20 candidates has been released in the Additional List by the Labor Inspectorate of the Labor Department. Candidates name, address, category details selected, marks scored in the exams have also been released.

How to check additional selection list?

  • Visit Karnataka Public Service Commission website www.kpsc.kar.nic.in.
  • Click on ‘Lists >> Selection List >> Additional Selection List’ on the open commission home page.
  • Then click on the link that says ‘Additional List for the post of Labor Inspector in Labor Department’ on the open webpage.
  • Additional List of Labor Inspectors pdf file will open. Make a check.

Selection procedure will be as follows.

  • Compulsory Kannada Language Test
  • Competitive Exam
  • The competitive examination will consist of 2 written question papers of 100 marks each and will be in objective multiple choice format.
  • Each question is of negative marking format and for each wrong answer one fourth of the marks allotted to the questions will be deducted. The Question Paper Content, Marks, Exam Timing are as follows.
  • Paper-1 : General Paper (100 Marks)
  • Paper-2 / : Specific Paper (100 Marks)
