KAS Mains Notification

KPSC has invited applications from eligible candidates for the main examination before the release of the cut off marks in the preliminary examination to qualify for the main examination for the recruitment of KAS 384 posts.

384 of Gazetted Probationer Group – A and Group – B Group for the year 2023-24 notified on Karnataka Gazetted Probationers (Recruitment through Competitive Examination) Rules, 1997 and as amended from time to time vide Notification No: PSC 509 E(1)/2023-24, dated: 26-02-2024 The preliminary re-examination for the posts will be conducted on Date:29-12-2024, the commission will publish the merit list of the candidates who qualified in the ratio of 1:15 from the preliminary examination to the main examination on date:10-02-2025, the applications are invited from the eligible candidates through online for the present main examination.

  • Examination Fee:-
    (a) For Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Category-1, Ex-Servicemen & Disabled candidates Rs. 300/- (a) For other candidates Rs. 500/-
  • Examination Centre: The main examination will be conducted only at Bangalore and Dharwad District Centres.
  • 5. Instructions for Application: Candidates must read and follow the following instructions before filling the application for the main examination through ONLINE: 5.1 Candidates should read and understand all the details before filling the application and only then fill the details applicable to them. 5.2 Any request for amendment / addition of particulars in the application once the application has been submitted will be rejected.
  • 5.3 Special Note: Pre-examination for the said posts already online with application
  • The documents submitted as well as the attachment/documents submitted along with the application for the current main examination may be scrutinized by the Commission in necessary cases, so that the candidates are careful to ensure that all the documents applicable to them are clearly visible. The app should be loaded.
  • 5.4 As per the details already mentioned by the candidates in the preliminary examination application, registration number of the preliminary examination, candidate’s name, signature, portrait, father/mother’s name, husband/wife’s name, candidate’s gender and date of birth, reservation and address details will be automatically entered in the main examination application, no provision will be made to amend any information previously entered in the preliminary examination application.

  • 5.6 Details of scribe in application if disabled candidates seek assistance of own scribe. Must be entered. The photograph and signature of the scribe must be uploaded compulsorily.
  • 5.7 Candidates seeking reservation for Hyderabad-Karnataka Local Group shall compulsorily mention the options in the online application form for the main examination as specified in the Government Circular No:CSUE 03 HICACO 2019, dated:15-06-2022.
  • 5.8 Karnataka Gazetted Probationer Appointment (Appointment through Competitive Examinations) Rules, 1997 and Sub-rule 4. (3) Rale.. “The candidates who apply for the Competitive Examinations shall clearly indicate in their application forms the services or posts for which they wish to be considered for appointment in the order of preference. They shall not be considered for such of the service or posts which are not preferred by them.” According to the entry, the candidates should fill the preference of the posts notified in the online application, they will not be considered for the selection of the posts that are not given preference.
