Regarding the recruitment of Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer posts of Karnataka Power Corporation Limited, now the date has been fixed for re-examination in Kannada language. Candidates who appeared in the competitive examination conducted on 18-02-2024 for these posts now have to write the Kannada language examination on the scheduled date.
In connection with the recruitment of assistant engineer and junior engineer posts of Karnataka Vidyut Nigam Regular, the High Court has issued an order canceling the Kannada language test conducted in the month of February 2024 and conducting this test afresh. Candidates who had written this exam earlier on February 19 now have to write the exam again.
The bench headed by Justice Sachin Shankar Magadam gave this order after accepting the application filed by Geeta Chavan, an aspirant for the JE post of Chadchan, who was an aspirant for these posts and had also written the examination.
KPCL has fixed minimum marks after completion of Kannada language exam. This is an illegal process. Also there is no provision for this in the rules. Therefore, the bench clarified that KPCL’s action cannot be accepted.
Kannada language reexamination schedule announced
Karnataka Vidyut Nigam Regular has now decided to conduct Compulsory Kannada Re-examination on February 04, 2025 (Tuesday) in afternoon session (2-30pm to 5-30pm) as directed by High Court. The Karnataka Examination Authority has also released the timetable in this regard.
Special instructions
Kannada language exam will be SSLC level exam. And it will be descriptive test.
Only those candidates who appeared in the competitive examination conducted for the posts of AE, JE on 18-02-2024 are allowed to appear for this compulsory Kannada re-examination.
Tips for appearing for Kannada language exam
- Collect the exam syllabus.
- Study material should be collected according to the syllabus.
- Collect as many previous years question papers, model questions, marking systems as possible.
- All study material should be revised two weeks before the exam.
Prescribed Qualifications for KPCL AE, JE Posts
Assistant Engineer : Engineering Degree in Civil / Electrical / Mechanical / Instrumentation discipline.
Junior Engineer : Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Diploma Pass.
