What is the qualification for PDO post?
For the post of Gram Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) Candidates must have passed Bachelor’s degree examination from any University. or a qualification recognized by the Government as equivalent to such examination.
Graduation should be passed on the last date fixed for receipt of applications.
Can those doing final degree study apply?
Government publishes notification for the post of PDO and invites applications. At this time, the question of the aspirants is whether the students who are pursuing their final degree can apply for this post. But candidates who are pursuing final degree/ equivalent course are not eligible to apply for this post.
Candidates who have written the final degree examination and are waiting for the result are also not eligible to write the examination.
What is the age limit qualification for Karnataka PDO post?
Candidate should be at least 18 years of age as on the last date fixed for application. Category wise maximum age qualifications are as follows.
- Maximum age should not exceed 35 years for candidates with general qualification.
- For category 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B candidates maximum age should not exceed 38 years.
- SC/ST/Category-1 candidates should not exceed 40 years. Date of birth of candidates will be considered as shown in their SSLC or equivalent qualification certificate, transfer certificate.
How is the competitive exam for Karnataka PDO post?
The competitive examination for the post of Karnataka PDO for a total of 400 marks will be conducted in the following pattern.
Paper-1
There will be 100 marks for General Knowledge, General Kannada, General English and a total of 200 marks. Total exam duration is 2 hours. There will be objective multiple choice questions.
Paper-2
There will be 100 questions related to Rural Development and Panchayat Raj. This paper will be an examination of 200 marks. There will be a two hour exam. This paper will be an objective multiple choice paper.
The competitive examination will be conducted at all District / Taluk Centres.
