Educational Qualifications

The educational qualification details prescribed for each post are as follows:

  • Soldier post: Must have passed SSLC or equivalent examination and should be able to read and write Kannada.
  • Order Enforcement post: Must have passed SSLC or equivalent examination. Candidates with light or heavy vehicle driving license will be given preference.
  • Copy-typist post: Must have passed Second PUC or 3 years Commercial Practice Diploma. Must have passed Junior Level Typing Test in Kannada and English conducted by the Public Education Department and should have knowledge of computer usage.
  • Typist post: Must have completed Second PUC or 3 years Diploma in Commercial Practice. Must have passed Senior Level Typing Test in Kannada and English conducted by the Public Education Department and should have knowledge of computer operation.

Age Limit & Age Relaxation

Candidates should have completed at least 18 years of age as on the last date of application. As per the government order, a one-time relaxation of 5 years has been given to all categories in the maximum age limit:

  • For General Category Candidates: Maximum 40 years (35 + 5 years)
  • For Category 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B Candidates: Maximum 43 years (38 + 5 years)
  • For Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Category-1 Candidates: Maximum 45 years (40 + 5 years)
  • Additional age relaxation is applicable to Ex-Servicemen, Disabled, Widows and Government Service as per rules.

Salary Scale

The monthly salary scale fixed for the selected candidates according to the post is as follows:

  • For the post of Soldier: Rs. 27000 – 650 – 29600 – 725 – 32500 – 800 – 35700 – 900 – 39300 – 1000 – 43300 – 1125 – 46675
  • For the post of Order Enforcement Officer: Rs. 31775 – 725 – 32500 – 800 – 35700 – 900 – 39300 – 1000 – 43300 – 1125 – 47800 – 1250 – 52800 – 1375 – 58300 – 1500 – 61300
  • For the post of Copy-Typer: Rs. 34100 – 800 – 35700 – 900 – 39300 – 1000 – 43300 – 1125 – 47800 – 1250 – 52800 – 1375 – 58300 – 1500 – 64300 – 1650 – 67600
  • For the post of Typist: Rs. 34100 – 800 – 35700 – 900 – 39300 – 1000 – 43300 – 1125 – 47800 – 1250 – 52800 – 1375 – 58300 – 1500 – 64300 – 1650 – 67600

Application Fee

  • For General Category Candidates: Rs. 200/-
  • For Category 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B Backward Classes Candidates: Rs. 100/-
  • For Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Category-1 and Disabled Candidates: Complete exemption from payment of fee.
  • The fee should be paid online through State Bank of India’s State Bank Collect through Internet Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card or UPI. No Demand Draft or Challan will be accepted. It is mandatory to verify the fee immediately after payment.

How to Apply

  • Visit the official website of Bangalore Rural District Court.
  • Click on the online application link under the recruitment section.
  • Select the post for which you wish to apply and read all the instructions carefully.
  • Enter your personal details, mobile number, email address, date of birth and qualification marks correctly.
  • Upload a recent colour passport size photograph with white background (maximum 50 KB) and signature on white paper in black ballpoint pen (maximum 25 KB).
  • Check all the details entered and pay the prescribed application fee online.
  • Submit the filled application after paying the fee, download the application form and fee receipt and take a printout.

Selection Procedure

  • Soldier Post: Based on the marks obtained in the SSLC examination, 10 candidates will be selected for 1 post in the ratio of (1:10) and a final merit list will be prepared after conducting a 10-mark interview.
  • Order Enforcement Post: Based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, 25 candidates (1:25) will be invited for interview for 1 post. Selection will be made on the basis of performance in the 10-mark interview.
  • Copy-typist and Typist Posts: Based on the prescribed educational qualification and the percentage of total marks obtained in the 15-minute Kannada and English typing skill test (100 marks each, minimum 50 marks for passing), 5 candidates (1:5) will be called for interview for 1 post. The selection list will be published on the basis of the total marks obtained in the qualification, skill test and interview.
  • The appointed candidates will be on probation for 2 years and will be covered by the National Pension Scheme.
