Foxconn Bengaluru Jobs: Bengaluru is not only the technology capital of India, but is also making a splash globally in the electronics manufacturing sector. The main reason for this is Foxconn, the Apple iPhone manufacturing company that has risen near Devanahalli. According to recent reports, this factory has set a new record by hiring employees at an unprecedented rate in the history of India. Not only in production, but also in job creation, this unit is playing a major role, giving a big boost to the state’s economy.

Recruitment of 30,000 employees in just 8 months
30000 Jobs Bengaluru: Usually, when any large factory is set up, the recruitment of employees takes place in a phased manner. But what has happened at the Foxconn unit near the Devanahalli International Airport in Bengaluru is a miraculous development. The company has recruited 30,000 employees in just the last eight months. This is said to be the first time that any manufacturing unit in India has recruited such a large number of human resources in such a short period. This is a big victory for “Make in India” and the industrial policy of the Karnataka government.

80% women are the most important thing about this massive recruitment drive. Foxconn has hired 80% of its employees in its Bengaluru unit, which has played a major role in providing economic independence to women in both rural and urban areas.

Here are the key points of the recruitment:

  • Age Limit: Most of the selected employees are young women between the ages of 19 and 24.
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates who have completed PUC and Diploma are given high priority here.
  • First Job: For most of the recruits, this is their first job in life (Entry Level Jobs).

Training and township facility

Instead of directly deploying young women from rural areas and without any work experience to the production unit, the company is providing them with appropriate training. The selected candidates are given rigorous training for about six months. During this period, they are taught about iPhone component assembly, quality control and safety measures. Only after completing the training, they are included in the main production line.

The company is building a huge township for the safety and convenience of its employees. Since thousands of women employees work there, the company has taken this decision to provide them with housing and other basic amenities.

iPhone 17 Pro Max Manufacturing

Spread over an area of ​​about 300 acres, this unit is reportedly larger than the iPhone factory in Tamil Nadu. This unit has the capacity to employ around 50,000 people. The assembly process of iPhone-16 model phones began here in April-May 2024. Currently, the assembly work of the more advanced iPhone-17 Pro Max model phones is in full swing. This shows Apple’s confidence in India’s manufacturing capacity.

IT Hiring in India and the Changing Trend

While electronics manufacturing sector like Foxconn is one, there has been a harvest of jobs in the traditional IT sector in India. There were around 18 lakh recruitments in the IT sector in India in 2025. There has been a 16 percent increase in job demand compared to the previous year.

But here is one change to note:

  • Global Capability Center (GCC): There is no more recruitment from IT services companies like Infosys, TCS or Wipro as in the past. Instead, most of the recruitment is happening in their own offices or Global Capability Centers (GCC) that foreign companies have set up in India.
  • Shrinking service sector: The recruitment process in traditional IT services companies is somewhat sluggish.

Not only Bangalore, but also North India is witnessing an expansion in the electronics sector. Foxconn and HCL are jointly setting up a semiconductor unit in Uttar Pradesh. The unit has been built in Sector 28 of Jewar area of ​​Gautam Buddha Nagar, near Delhi.

This unit will manufacture Display Driver Integrated Circuits (DDICs). According to sources, the unit is likely to be inaugurated in January 2026, i.e. next month itself. This is a major step towards transforming India into a chip manufacturing hub.

Overall, the years 2025 and 2026 are likely to be a golden era for the Indian job market, especially for the electronics and technology sector. It is a promising development that job opportunities are being created for all levels, from PUC graduates to higher engineering graduates.
