On Independence Day, the Prime Minister announced a big gift for the youth of the country. This will be useful for crores of youth of the country. The central government will give 15 thousand rupees to the youth who join private jobs instead of government jobs.
Prime Minister Modi announced that he will give this money to the youth joining their first job to promote employment in the private sector.
What is this scheme?
The Pradhan Mantri Vikas Bharat Rojgar Yojana is a scheme run by the Central Government to promote employment. Under this scheme, the Central Government will give Rs 15000 to the youth joining their first job. It was earlier launched as an employment-related incentive. Now its name has been changed to Vikas Bharat Rojgar Yojana. Although it is a public sector undertaking, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization is implementing this scheme.
Who will be given the money?
Under this government scheme, Rs 15,000 will be given to the youth who join a new job between August 1, 2025 and July 31, 2027. This is applicable only to those who join private jobs. However, those who get jobs that deduct PF every month in life will not get this Rs 15,000. Also, the salary should be less than one lakh rupees. If you apply under this scheme, Rs 15,000 will be credited to your account in two installments. Rs 7,500 will be paid in the first six months of joining the job and Rs 7,500 for the next 6 months.
How to apply?
For this scheme, you need to create and activate a UAN number. For this, you need to register your name details with EPFO. As soon as you become a shareholder in EPFO, a UAN number will be generated. Once the UAN is activated, you become a participant in this scheme.
Benefits for employers.!
Newly employed youth cannot join EPFO on their own under this scheme. They have to fill these applications through the company they are affiliated with. The central government has launched this scheme to increase employment in the private sector. It will also benefit the companies providing employment.
