The application process for these Apprenticeship Posts of Kolkata Metro Railway will start on December 23, 2025 at 11:00 am. Applicants should apply online by 5:00 PM on January 22, 2026. Candidates can visit the official website of Metro Railway http://mtp.indianrailways.gov.in and fill the application form.
Education qualification
Qualification: Min. Must have passed 10th with 50% marks. In addition, National Trade Certificate (ITI) issued by NCVT/SCVT in respect of the trade applied for is mandatory.
Age Limit: Candidate’s age should be minimum 15 years and maximum 24 years as on December 23, 2025.
Reservation: There is relaxation in age limit for the candidates who get reservation as per Govt.
Selection process
Merit Decision: Merit list will be prepared based on the 10th class and ITI marks entered in the online application form.
Weightage of Marks: Total marks of 10th class and total marks of ITI will be given equal weightage.
Merit Score Calculation: $(10th Class Percentage Marks + ITI Percentage Marks) / 2$.
For example: In class 10th 80.58 and in ITI per cent. If 91.68 marks are scored, the merit score will be: $(80.58 + 91.68) / 2 = 86.13$.
In case of tie: If the marks of two candidates are equal, the candidate who is senior in age will be given first preference
