How to link mobile number with Driving License?
- First visit your state RTO website or https://parivahan.gov.in portal. This is the official website where you can find all the license related services.
- After opening the website, go to the “Driving License Related Services” section and click on “Update Mobile Number”. You will need to enter your driving license number, date of birth and old mobile number. Then click on “Generate OTP”.
- An OTP will be sent to your new mobile number. Enter it in the box on the website and click on “Submit”. A message saying “Mobile Number Updated Successfully” will appear on your screen. Take a screenshot and save it. Your number is now successfully linked to your license.
- Now sometimes it may take 1-2 minutes for the OTP to arrive so don’t panic. If the website displays an error then try again. Always link an active and personal mobile number. If you no longer have access to your old number then select the “Change Mobile Number” option. Never share your OTP with a cyber cafe or third party agent.
