Minister Madhu Bangarappa gave good news to the teacher post aspirants and said that soon action will be taken for the recruitment of 18,500 teachers in the state.
He was speaking to the media representatives in a press conference organized in his office hall.
In order to overcome the shortage of education in the Education Department and to ensure that there is no hindrance to educational activities, 13000 teachers have been deployed as an immediate measure. Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa said that steps have also been taken to recruit 18500 teachers soon.
It is intended to complete the caste census to be conducted by the end of October in the context of equality for all. He said that the services of teachers will be utilized so that there is no hindrance to the learning of children.
It is intended to increase the number of Karnataka Public Schools that were planned to be started in the state from 500 to 800. It is intended to open a large number of schools especially in the districts of Kalyan Karnataka. For this, the government will already spend Rs. 3000 crore. Also, financial assistance will be taken from non-government organizations to provide basic facilities in such selected schools. He said that many non-government organizations have already shown interest.
Due to continuous rains during the current monsoon season, about 45,000 hectares of areca nut crop has been affected by rotting disease in the district and the maize crop grown in thousands of hectares has been damaged. The officials of the concerned department have been instructed to provide the extent of crop loss immediately. There is also information that the extent of this crop loss is likely to increase further. The State School Education and Literacy Department and District In-charge Minister Madhu S. Bangarappa said that necessary action will be taken after discussing with the Honorable Chief Minister regarding the compensation measures for the crop loss that has already occurred.
Consultations have been held with scientists from the Agriculture and Horticulture University regarding the control of areca nut rot disease and they have also been instructed to provide information about the measures to prevent possible crop loss.
The central government should announce the compensation amount in such a way as to bring relief to the farmers who have suffered crop damage. The amount already announced is negligible. He said that the discriminatory attitude in the matter of distribution of compensation is not right and it is also intended to start a branch of the Coconut Development Board in the district. It is intended to repair the roads in the rain-damaged cities and towns in the district. At least 50 km in each assembly constituency under the Pragatipath scheme. The government will release a grant of around Rs 50 crore for the development of the main road. In the next 10-15 days the hospital will be upgraded and converted into a super specialty hospital.
