As good news for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, the state government has invited applications for the purchase of goods vehicles and taxis with 75% subsidy.
Applications are invited for purchase of goods transport, taxi, yellow board vehicle at subsidized rates under Swalambhi Sarathi Yojana by Social Welfare Department.
October 10, 2024 is the last date to apply for this scheme.
Similarly, 75% or a maximum of 4 lakhs is given as subsidy by the Social Welfare Department to the SC and ST community. A vehicle can be purchased with this subsidy.

Eligibility for Scheme Subsidy
The applicant applying for this scheme should be unemployed at least between 21 to 45 years of age. The annual income of the family should not exceed 1.5 lakhs. Must have driving license. No member of the family should be a government employee.
Applicant family should be below poverty line of India and belong to backward class.

Once benefited under any scheme of the Corporation, such person and his family are not eligible to apply again for the benefit.
Candidates who apply for the year 2023-24 and do not get the facility need not apply again. Applicants belonging to SC, ST categories who wish to avail this facility can apply online through Sevasindhu portal https://sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in at Village One, Bangalore One and Karnataka Seva Kendras.
