KPSC Group B And C Age Relaxation order

The Government of Karnataka has given a sweet news to the unemployed youth. Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) has approved relaxation of age limit by three years for recruitment in the Cabinet meeting.

It has been clarified that this rule will be applicable only for one time.

The government took a decision in this regard in the cabinet meeting held on September 5 under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. The meeting approved the note presented by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms.

The note detailed that the maximum age limit for applying for Group-B and Group-C posts in the State CL Services is to be relaxed for a period of one year as a one-time measure to increase the age limit to 3 years. Discussed in detail in cabinet meeting and approved.

Age relaxation of 3 years: In the Cabinet meeting for filling up of Group-B and Group-C posts of various departments in the State Civil Services through direct recruitment already issued and in the notification to be issued for Group-C posts in the State Civil Services in the next one year to apply the existing rules to all categories of candidates at one time. (One time measure) It has been approved to increase the upper age limit to three years.

Minister of Law and Parliamentary Affairs H. spoke at a press conference after the Cabinet meeting. K. Patil said, “Presently the maximum age limit for Group-B and Group-C posts in the State Civil Services is 35 years for General Category, 38 years for Category 2A/ 2B, 40 years for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Category-1. Now it has been decided to relax the age limit by 1 year. He said.

Allowed in the past: This is not the first time that the Karnataka government has relaxed the age limit in Karnataka Public Service Commission recruitment. In the recruitment process of 384 posts of Gazetted Probationers for the year 2023-24, candidates were also allowed to apply in a similar manner.

Due to the fact that applications were called for the recruitment of KAS posts after many years, it was discussed in the cabinet meeting and all the candidates who had applied for the gazetted probationary recruitment examination of the year 2017-18 were given an extra special opportunity to apply for the one time measure without age restriction.

The application period for the recruitment of Gazetted Probationers 384 posts for the year 2023-24 has already ended. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has already announced that a re-examination will be held due to a glitch in the preliminary examination held on Tuesday, August 27.
