JNVST Notification 2025
In Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, a notification has been released for the application for admission to the 6th class for the year 2025-26. Students who are currently studying in class 5 can take this exam.
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas have now invited online applications for the entrance examination to be conducted for admission to class 6 in the year 2025-26. If parents want their children to get good education, quality education, study in modern environment with environment/adventure activities and good physical education then start applying for this exam now on behalf of their children. Avoid last minute problems.
There are a total of 653 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across the country and 31 Navodaya Vidyalayas in Karnataka. The district has one Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.
JNV Entrance Eligibility Test will be conducted in two phases across the country.

How to Apply for JNVST 2025 Qualifying Exam
- Interested students / parents visit the website https://cbseitms.rcil.gov.in/nvs/.
- Click on the link ‘Click Here For Registration For Class VI JNVST (2025-26)’ under ‘Candidates Corner’ on the open webpage.
- A simple online application form webpage will open.
- Read and select the information asked here, and fill in what needs to be typed correctly.
- Fill the application in full, then take a print for further reference.
For online application the following documents should be prepared in JPG format not exceeding 10-100kb.
- Study certificate from the Headmaster of the school where the student has studied/studying 5th standard.
- Student portrait
- Scan copy of signature of parents
- Scan copy of student signature
- Aadhaar Card or Residence Proof
Other information required to apply:
State, District, Block, Aadhaar Number, Phone Number, Others.
Admit card will be released to the students two weeks before the exam to appear for the exam. At this time it can be downloaded by logging in with the registration number.
What are the qualifications to apply?
- Students who are studying 5th standard in the respective district are eligible to get admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas of the respective district and can apply.
- Students should have studied 5th standard only in government school or government recognized schools.
- Students seeking admission to Class 6 in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in the year 2025-26 must not have been born before 01-05-2013. And should not have been born after 31-07-2015.
75% of the students who appeared for the JNVST Class 6 entrance exam are selected from the rural areas of the respective district. Remaining 25 percent seats will be allotted to urban/rural candidates on merit basis.
JNVST 2025 Exam Languages.
In addition to the official language of the respective state, there is an opportunity to write the exam not only in English and Hindi but also in some other languages. Students from Karnataka can write this exam in Hindi, English, Kannada, Telugu, Marathi, Urdu, Malayalam, Tamil languages.
About JNVST 2025 Exam
This exam will be held for 2 hours from 11-30am to 01-30pm. There will be objective type questions from 3 sections. There will be 80 questions for 100 marks.
