Guest Teachers Recruitment 2024

The state government has issued an order to recruit 35,000 guest teachers for primary schools and 10,000 guest teachers for high schools in the year 2024-25 against the vacant posts of teachers in government primary and high schools.

In respect of the above, a total of -35000 for the academic year 2024-25 against the vacant teaching posts in Government Primary Schools of the State till appointment of permanent teachers in the educational interest of the students or till the end of the academic year whichever is earlier. Temporary appointment of guest teachers has been permitted vide Government letter vide reference-01.

Total-35000 in reference-01. The government has agreed to recruit guest teachers for the posts which are currently vacant in government primary schools (PST and GPT) in the state total-33863. 33863 in the first phase against the posts. District wise/ taluk wise guest teachers have been allowed to be recruited for the vacant posts subject to the conditions laid down in reference-02 & 03 letter.

Accordingly, it has been notified to make appointment as per the rules on a temporary basis subject to the following conditions and the details of guest teachers allocated Taluk & District wise are enclosed in the Annexure.

Conditions:-

  1. Recruitment of guest teachers against sanctioned vacancies.
  2. The selection of guest teachers in respect of primary schools is the responsibility of the concerned Government School Headmasters.
  3. Primary school guest teachers mainly vacant in rural areas on priority. First preference will be given to posts and vacancies in schools without teachers/high student population.
  4. Recruitment of 100% guest teachers on priority basis in Government Karnataka Public Schools/Bangalore Public Schools/Bilingual (English) medium classes and Adarsh ​​Vidyalayas specially started under School Education Department in the state.
  5. Guest teachers should be selected on merit basis considering the minimum qualification prescribed for the respective post.
  6. Maintaining attendance records of guest teachers separately.
  7. The rate of honorarium for Primary School Guest Teachers will be Rs.10000/- per month.
  8. In case permanent teachers are posted to the posts for which guest teachers have been appointed through transfer/recruitment, release such guest teachers who were working in the said post from duty, and then take action to allocate guest teachers/posts locally to vacant posts vacated due to transfer or other reasons in the taluk as required.
  9. In the current transfer program, guest teacher posts are allocated taluk-wise according to such vacancies and the posts of guest teachers are redistributed taluk-panchayat-wise and guest teachers cannot be re-allocated from taluk to taluk (within the district) after submission of grant details to this office.

The district deputy director/खण वलहा تلكة Education Officers shall issue appropriate instructions to the concerned teachers to follow all the above parameters transparently. In case of any lapses in the appointment of guest teachers, the Taluk/Zone Field Education Officers shall be directly responsible for disciplinary action.

Recruitment of 10 thousand guest teachers for high schools

Accordingly, for the year 2024-25, in the first phase, a total of 8954 guest teachers are to be recruited immediately on temporary honorarium basis for the 8954 vacant posts of subject teachers in government high schools in the academic interest of the students till they are filled by direct recruitment/promotion/transfer or till the end of the current academic year, whichever is earlier. Permission has been granted subject to the following conditions.

Conditions:-

  1. Taluk wise guest teacher posts are allotted for quick recruitment of guest teachers only for school wise / taluk wise vacant posts for government high schools.
  2. Selection responsibility of guest teachers to be appointed by the concerned Government High School Headmasters.
  3. 100% guest teachers of vacant posts of associate teachers in Government Karnataka Public Schools/Bangalore Public Schools and Adarsh ​​Vidyalayas of the Department of School Education should be given first priority. Action to recruit.
  4. In relation to the recruitment of guest teachers in government high schools, it has been advised to give priority to the recruitment of teachers of difficult subjects like Mathematics, Science, English. Then give priority to other things. . The posts of guest teachers cannot be sanctioned to schools where there are additional teachers for such subjects. 5
