LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2024

Hello friends, LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2024 notification has been released, on behalf of Life Insurance Corporation of India, all 12th passed students will be awarded a scholarship of Rs.40,000. Know how to apply for it.

Online applications for LIC Golden Scholarship Scheme have started and application forms for this scheme will be filled by January 14, interested and eligible persons can apply, selected candidates under LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme will be awarded a scholarship of Rs 40,000 in three installments.

For poor students, Life Insurance Corporation of India Limited provides this assistance to students belonging to economically weaker section to pursue higher education so that they can study well.

Eligibility for LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme

12th Class Examination (or its equivalent – ​​Regular / Regular Grade) with minimum 60% marks (or equivalent grade) in the academic year 2022-23. Vocational) / Diploma passed and all candidates whose parents / guardians are not eligible for examination. Parents whose annual income (from all sources) should not exceed Rs.2,50,000 per annum * (Please refer to Clause 6 (i) – Exemption) are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

These grants are awarded to students who are willing (and inclined) to pursue medical, engineering, degree in any subject, integrated courses, diploma course in any field or other equivalent courses, vocational courses through government recognized college institutions or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).

For Special Girl Child Scholarship- In order to promote the education of girls, scholarships will be awarded to them in colleges/colleges recognized by the government. Intermediate / Diploma courses through Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). Girls will be given special scholarship for two years after 10th to pursue higher education in 10+2 model/model vocational or diploma courses.

Benefits of the scheme

General Scholarship a) An amount of Rs.40,000/- per annum will be provided to the selected student for pursuing higher education in the field of Medicine and it will be paid in three installments (Rs. 12000 / – , Rs. 12000 / – and Rs. 16000 / – paid per annum).

b) An amount of Rs.30,000/- per annum will be provided to the selected student pursuing higher education in the field of Engineering and this will be paid in three installments (Rs. 9000 / – , Rs. 9000 / – and Rs. 12000 / – per year).

c) An amount of Rs.20,000/- per annum will be provided to the selected student pursuing education in Government recognized colleges / institutions through Industrial Training Institute (ITI) for Degree, Integrated Courses, Diploma Courses in any field or other equivalent courses, Professional Courses or Courses. And will be paid in three installments (Rs. 6000/-) during this period

Special Scholarship for Girl Child c) Amount Rs. An annual cash prize of Rs.15,000/- will be given to the selected girl. Intermediate / 10 + 2 Model / Internship for special scholarship to pursue higher education after 10th standard. Vocational or Diploma Course in Industrial Training from a Government recognized College/ Institute or Course Institute (ITI) for two years and paid in three installments (Rs. 4500 / – ). , Rs.4500/- and Rs.6000/- per year during the duration of the course as per merit)

Conditions for the scheme

(i) Obtained at least 60% marks or equivalent rank in previous final examination and annual income of parent/guardian from all sources is Rs. Scholarship is awarded to students not exceeding 2,50,000/-. The upper limit of the annual income standard will be relaxed from the current Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 4 lakh only in cases where the woman (widow / single mother / unmarried) is the sole breadwinner of the family.

(ii) Selection of LIC Scholar is based on merit and family background i.e. percentage of marks in 12th / 10th class and annual income of family. Final selection of candidates will be done on the basis of list of eligible candidates in order of marks obtained on merit basis.

(iii) In case of equality of percentage of marks, preference will be given to students whose parents have lower income.

(iv) Candidates seeking lateral admission to second year engineering degree courses after completion of Diploma in first year of engineering degree courses or regular admission are eligible for GJF scholarship if they have passed diploma with 60% marks in the previous academic year.

(v) Candidates who change their stream after being selected for the scholarship and the duration of the course is longer than the subject area for which the student was selected, such students will continue to receive the scholarship only for the period originally selected. However, if the candidate moves to a shorter duration subject area, the scholarship will be paid up to the shorter duration stream of the subject area.

(vi) Students studying in any discipline through correspondence or part-time (evening or night classes)/ private candidates are not eligible for the scholarship.

(vii) Candidates who wish to pursue diploma course in any discipline after class 10th will be allowed scholarship under ‘Special Girl Student’ or ‘Full Time Student’ category.

(viii) Candidates who have passed 12th Class (Vocational) and studied in any of the disciplines sanctioned under the Scholarship Scheme 2023 will be considered for the scholarship.
