The state government has declared a total of 195 taluks in the state as drought-affected areas including different districts. Drought Relief Fund is also given to the farmers of all these taluks and the farmers can benefit from it.
Fruits ID mandatory
The process of immediate direct transfer of money through DBT to the farmers in drought affected areas is underway, for which the Revenue Department has shared some important points, stating that Fruits ID is mandatory.
This kind of decision has been taken because the crop compensation money should not be lost in any way.
The government has said that FID is mandatory for receiving drought relief funds. Farmers should register their name in Fruits software. To get FID, farmers need to provide details like land documents, Aadhaar card, bank account etc.
Drought relief funds will be transferred immediately to those registered with FID. Earlier drought relief funds were released district wise by registering the names of farmers under the relief software, so the money was not transferred to all the farmers or to the actual beneficiary farmers’ accounts.
In order to avoid this fraud it is mandatory to register the ID of every farmer.
How to Check Fruits ID? (How to check FID)
First visit official government website fruitspmk.karnataka.gov.in.
That is Farmers Registration and Unified Beneficiary Information System PM-KISAN your page, to check your name enter Aadhaar number and click on search button.
Then Fruits ID 16 digits show on the screen means you are eligible for Drought Relief Fund.
If after entering the Aadhaar number you get a message like no data found without showing the fruits ID, you can immediately visit the local farmer contact center and seek relief.
The government has said that it is mandatory for the farmers to get the fruits ID before the month of December, without which no relief fund released by the central government or the state government will go to the farmers. You can get Fruits ID from nearest Gram Van or Seva Sindhu Kendras.
