Indian Railways: The list of canceled trains includes trains running in Delhi, Howrah, Asansol, Prayagraj, Guwahati, Madurai and other cities.
New Delhi: Indian Railways canceled 254 trains today (Friday) due to technical and operational related works.
According to the information shared by the Railway Department, 185 trains scheduled to depart today have been completely canceled and 69 trains have been partially cancelled.
The list of canceled trains includes trains running in Delhi, Howrah, Asansol, Prayagraj, Guwahati, Madurai and other cities. The Railway Department cancels some trains every day due to engineering and maintenance issues.
How to check if the train for which you have booked a seat is cancelled?:
- Visit indianrail.gov.in/mntes and select the date of travel.
- Click on Exceptional Trains in the top panel of the website screen
- Click on Canceled Trains option there
- Select Full or Partial option to see complete list of trains with timings, routes and other details as per requirement
To check live train running status do:
- Visit official website of Railway Department https://www.irctchelp.in/live-train-running-status/
- Enter your train number in the box shown there.
- Select a date in the format DD-MM-YYYY.
- Press the search button to get the result in tabular form
- To check information through SMS – Send SMS ‘AD’ to 139
- Call 139 to contact Indian Railways inquiry number

- Click on Railway Station Code name
- There you will get the railway station code. Save those details.
