Chief Minister Self Employment Scheme

The Karnataka government has introduced the ‘Chief Minister’s Self Employment Scheme’ (CMEGP) with the original intention of creating self-employment opportunities in the state. Under this scheme, the state government will provide loans up to Rs. 10 lakhs. The subsidy will be available from 25-35. The primary objective of the CM Self Employment Scheme is to make it more favorable for rural entrepreneurs. The government provides financial co-operation and training to startups.

The project is being implemented in collaboration with the Karnataka Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) and the Department of Industry and Commerce. Beneficiaries make up about one percent of the total cost of the project. Must pay 5-10. Govt. 25-35 subsidy.

How to Apply Online

Follow this procedure to apply for a loan under the CM Self Employment Creation Scheme.

  • Step 1: First visit the official website cmegp.kar.nic.in
  • Step 2: On the home page, click on the “Apply Online” link and then on the CMEGP Online Application Submission page
  • Step 3: Candidates here need to select the agency and enter the Aadhaar number and click on the “Continue” button.
  • Step 4: Then, the online application form of the CM Self Employment Scheme opens.
  • Step 5: In this CMEGP application form, candidates must enter the required details, address, eligibility, EDP training, target unit, project cost, financing methods, bank details, loan details, grant and subsidy details and click on the “Save to Complete Application Process” button.
  • Step 6: Candidates can take a printout of the completed application form of the CM’s self-employment project.
  • This printout of the CMEGP application form with detailed project reports and supporting documents must be submitted to the respective offices. Candidates can log in using a username and password to check more details. Applicants can also review how to apply for CMEGP online if they have any trouble understanding the online application process.
