The central government has introduced a new app for ration card users in the country. The central government has already launched an initiative to promote the ‘One Nation-One Ration Card’ system and has launched a mobile app called ‘Mera Ration’ to enable citizens to identify the nearest fair price shop.
Yes, the central government, which has designed a single country, single ration card, has now released a mobile app called Mera Ration Card (My Ration Card). The plan is to get rations in any part of the country with a single ration card. This app is especially helpful for migrants moving from state to state and the nearest ration shop is easily accessible through the app.
This will facilitate various ONRC related services among National Food Security Act beneficiaries, particularly migrant beneficiaries, FPS dealers and other related stakeholders. The application was developed by the Government of India in collaboration with NIC. Migrant workers can now get rations from this Mera Ration Card App to find their nearest justice price.
What is the benefit of Mera Ration App ?:

- Eligibility Check for Food Grain
- Recent Businesses.
- Aadhaar alignment status.
Immigrants can register their immigration details through the App.
The One Nation One ration card scheme will benefit many, including workers, daily laborers, urban poor, street dwellers, temporary workers in the organized and unorganized sector, and domestic workers.
The central government distributes foodgrains at concessionary rates to 81 crore people under the National Security Act. However, when migrant workers or beneficiaries move from one area to another, or from one state to another, they are not able to afford rations. Against this backdrop, the central government has implemented a ration scheme for any migrant person and worker to obtain the necessary rations from any ration shop in the country.
The current Mera ration app is available in Hindi and English. More features will be added to the app in the coming days. It is also said that the app will be available soon in 14 languages.
