The Karnataka Labor Welfare Board has extended the deadline till March 31 to apply online for the benefit of workers’ children for educational incentives by 2021-22.

Assistance in the education of son or daughter of a registered construction worker.

The Secretary of the Council or an officer appointed on behalf of the Board shall accept the application for educational assistance from the registered beneficiary and grant of subsidy annually to the two deserving children. Annual Educational Assistance and Tribal Assistance under the Learning Benefit scheme (Government subsidy rates are in accordance with Government notification dated 14-12-2019).

  • 2000 / – for those who passed 1st class
  • 2000 / – for those who passed 2nd class
  • 2000 / – for those who passed 3rd class
  • 3000 / – for those who passed 4th standard
  • 3000 / – for those who passed 5th standard
  • 3000 / – for those who passed 6th standard
  • 4000 / – for those who passed 7th standard
  • 4000 / – for those who passed 8th standard
  • 6000 / – for those who passed 9th standard
  • 6000 / – for 10th standard students
  • 6000 / – for those who passed the first PUC
  • 8000 / – for those who passed the secondary PUC
  • 7000 / – per annum for ITI and Diploma holders
  • 10,000 / – per year for graduates Rs. 25,000 / – per annum and Rs. 20,000 / – per annum
  • 30,000 / – per annum and Rs. 25,000 / – per annum (On Merit Seat)
  • 20,000 / – and Rs.10,000 / – per year for two years (for two years) Ph.D course Rs. 20000 / –
  • per year (maximum of two years) and an additional Rs.

For gifted kids

  • Rs. 5000 / – for those who have scored 75% in SSLC or equivalent class
  • For those who got 75% marks in PUC or equivalent class
  • 10,000 / – for those who have obtained 75% marks in Degree or equivalent course
  • Rs. 15,000 / – for those who have obtained 75% marks in Post Graduate Degree or equivalent Course

The amount under sub-rule (1) shall be sanctioned if the following conditions are fulfilled. Two eligible children of registered construction workers will be subsidized; Any subscription payable to the Board of Registered Construction Workers shall not be pending.

Application for Form XIX shall be filed to obtain the assistance stipulated in sub-rule (1).

In the State of Karnataka, only two children of the beneficiaries who are physically started and currently attending government schools are eligible for educational assistance. This facility is not available to students who are involved in distance learning, online education, home study, etc.

  • Submitting applications within six months of the next academic year
  • Submission of Certificate of Registration by Senior / Labor Candidate
  • Application process by senior / labor prospect
  • Prepares inspection report (if required) by labor prospectors
  • Verification and approval by labor officer
