In the notification issued by KPSC to fill up the posts of gazetted probationers in the year 2023-24, an important decision was taken in the cabinet held on Friday to relax the maximum age limit for all eligible candidates as a one time measure.
Some Gazetted Probationers post aspirants have submitted petitions to the Government and proposed to relax the maximum age limit for appearing for Gazetted Probationers Group-A and Group-B posts to be notified by the Karnataka Public Service Commission up to a maximum of 3 years as a one-time measure.

Karnataka Gazetted Probationers (Appointment through Competitive Examination) Rules, 1997 for the year 2023-24 in the notification to be issued by the Karnataka Public Service Commission for the vacant posts, Minister to increase the maximum age limit to 3 years for eligible candidates of all categories on top of the existing rules.
